Inside the Studio

From Technical Proof
to Practical Use.

We turn technical propositions into development programmes: define the application, test critical assumptions, understand adoption requirements and plan the engineering, resources and partnerships needed for the next stage.

Integrated Development · Development Concept

The Working Model

Build the Technology.
Build the Customer Case.

We develop the product and the business together: what must perform, who would buy it and how the company would deliver.

The application sets the technical requirements. Customer economics, qualification and integration shape the product. Leadership, intellectual-property arrangements and capital planning determine whether the development plan can be carried out.

Where technologies meet, the interfaces become development questions: timing, data quality, verification scope, human authority and manufacturability. The five disciplines below turn those questions into work, outputs and decisions.

Application

Define the Application.

Work. Identify the intended user, operating problem, conditions of use and available alternatives. Examine why the RAM LABS proposition could be relevant.

Output. An application brief setting out the need, technical rationale, assumptions and intended use.

Next Decision

Is the application clear and worthwhile enough to justify focused development?

Technical Evidence

Establish What Must Work.

Work. Specify performance, cost and reliability requirements. Select the experiment, simulation, prototype or independent test that could resolve a critical assumption.

Output. A technical work plan and evidence record distinguishing measurements, models, targets and remaining uncertainty.

Next Decision

Does the evidence justify further development, a revised architecture or a different application?

Customer Adoption

Examine the Buying Decision.

Work. Identify users and purchasing decision-makers. Examine competing solutions, customer economics, integration costs, procurement and the requirements for an evaluation.

Output. A commercial assessment with a proposed customer, adoption pathway and assumptions to test.

Next Decision

Is there a credible route from technical performance to customer use and a sustainable business?

Company Formation

Put Leadership and Rights in Place.

Work. Define leadership, team requirements, executive authority and oversight. Establish the proposed entity, relevant intellectual-property rights and third-party dependencies.

Output. A company and operating plan with named responsibilities, required agreements and a budget for the next stage.

Next Decision

Are the people, rights and resources sufficiently clear to make the proposed commitment?

Commercial Entry

Prepare the Means to Deliver.

Work. Work through the qualification, manufacturing, regulatory or integration requirements relevant to the application. Identify suppliers, testing partners and customer evaluation conditions.

Output. A delivery plan covering qualification gates, operating dependencies, costs and responsibility for each work package.

Next Decision

What is ready for a defined evaluation or commercial step, and what remains to be established?

Resources & Capital

Resource The
Next Stage.

The next milestone needs a practical budget: who will do the work, where it will happen, how long it will take and what result will justify the next commitment.

  • Assign an owner and reviewer to the critical work.
  • Agree access to facilities, information and intellectual property.
  • Identify hiring needs and external capabilities.
  • Cost the work and make financing dependencies visible.

We connect capital planning to those requirements. A useful financing conversation explains what the money would make possible, what the result would establish and what remains to be solved.

Development Gates

The Result Determines
the Next Commitment.

Continue

The result supports the application and a defined next work package. Review its resources, responsibilities and remaining risks before committing.

Change Direction

The evidence changes the architecture, application or customer case. Revise the plan, budget and decision criteria before further work.

Pause or Stop

A critical assumption is not established or the next commitment is not justified. Record the finding and the conditions under which the question might be revisited.

Questions & Answers

Studio FAQs

Company building, participation and working with SIRA.

Speak with SIRA
What Is SIRA?

SIRA is an Abu Dhabi deep-technology venture studio and a Zhyra Holding company. We originate ventures internally, principally from RAM LABS research, and connect technology development, customer needs and company formation around each business.

Where Does SIRA Focus Its Effort?

We focus on early company formation, when an original technical idea still needs a useful application, credible evidence, a customer case and a founding team. Those questions are developed together so that the technology and the business can inform one another.

Why Build from Abu Dhabi?

Abu Dhabi is our base for developing companies around complex systems with practical consequences. SIRA’s contribution is a focused path from internally originated research to founder-led businesses. We begin with a specific technology and use case, then build the relationships and operating capabilities that application needs.

Where Is SIRA Based?

SIRA is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Our portfolio addresses computation, energy, food production, health, manufacturing and space, with applications considered in the markets and conditions where the technology would be used.

How Are SIRA, RAM LABS and Zhyra Holding Related?

Zhyra Holding is SIRA’s parent company. RAM LABS provides the principal research and venture concepts. SIRA directs the company-building work; venture founders lead the business, its people, customers and execution.

How Does the Studio Model Differ from an Accelerator?

A SIRA venture starts with an internally originated technology. The studio works on the application, evidence, customer case and company around it, and recruits founders to lead that business. The engagement follows the needs of the venture rather than a fixed cohort timetable.

Which Fields Does SIRA Work In?

The portfolio spans Computation & Digital Infrastructure, Energy & Environmental Systems, Health & Life Sciences, and Industrial Systems & Space. The individual profiles describe the intended applications and development questions within each field; ZERO MATTER is presented as one specialist space venture studio.

How Does SIRA Develop a Venture?

We work on five connected disciplines: application, technical evidence, customer adoption, company formation and delivery. Each commitment has a purpose, an owner and a result to review. The next step follows what the work establishes.

How Can a Founder Join a SIRA Venture?

Choose a venture and explain the experience that equips you to lead it. Tell us which product, customer or operating decisions you have owned and what you would address first. We then discuss fit, responsibility, resources and the appropriate way to begin.

What Does an Entrepreneur in Residence Do?

An EIR works on a question that could shape the venture: the first application, customer need, technical proof or founding-team plan. We agree the focus, access, result and review point together. The work can provide the basis for a later founder discussion.

Can I Contribute Without Becoming a Founder?

Yes. Operating specialists, technical leaders and collaborators can own a specific part of development, from systems engineering and qualification to manufacturing and commercial entry. Start with the result you could help deliver.

How Are Intellectual-Property Rights Established?

Existing research, third-party rights and new work are identified separately. Ownership, licences, access, use of results and publication arrangements are agreed for the particular company or collaboration.

How Can a Research Institution Work with SIRA?

Bring a method, specialist team, experiment or facility relevant to a venture. We bring the application and technical context. Together we define the question, contributions, rights, expected result and how the findings will be reviewed.

How Can Industry and Manufacturing Partners Participate?

Bring an operating requirement, evaluation setting, production capability or systems-integration experience. Early work might establish requirements, assess manufacturability or define qualification tests. The result can inform a subsequent commercial engagement.

How Do Studio-Level and Venture-Level Capital Discussions Differ?

A studio discussion examines SIRA’s company-building platform, resources and venture interests. A venture discussion examines a named business, its technology, customer case, entity and development budget. The use of capital, rights and governance follow the particular arrangement.

How Are Founder Ownership and Decision Rights Agreed?

We discuss the founder’s responsibilities, the technology and rights, the company’s needs and the resources each party commits. Ownership, vesting, executive authority and oversight are documented for that venture before the role begins.

What Does Inclusion in the Portfolio Mean?

The portfolio presents ventures at different points in development and company formation. A profile explains the intended application, technical approach and questions that matter next. Current evidence, corporate status and commercial availability are confirmed for the particular venture.

How Should I Assess a Venture’s Technical Evidence?

Ask what has been measured, under which conditions and with what limitations. Distinguish results from simulations and design targets. Then examine the next test, what it could establish and how it affects the product and customer case.

Do the Website Images Show Actual SIRA Products and Facilities?

Image Credits identifies the source and context of the website imagery. Concept visuals illustrate development work; documentary photographs identify the setting they show. Contextual imagery should not be read as evidence of a SIRA facility, released product or validated technical result.

What Should I Include in a First Enquiry?

Name the venture or area of interest and introduce your experience, institutional capability or investment mandate. Explain what you would like to contribute or understand. Use non-confidential information. Contact ramesh@zhyra.xyz or use the form to prepare an email draft.
